ASEA National Awards

You can submit a nomination for the biennial Speak Easy Awards at any time.  These awards are announced at the National Conference.

There are two categories of awards:

Most Outstanding Member:

Designed to reward and encourage members who have made a significant contribution to the Association’s affairs, usually at State level.

President’s Cup:

Award for the most outstanding individual contribution to the Association in 2012.

1. Criteria for Awards

1.1      Most outstanding Member

  • consistent high standard and/or improved levels of communication
  • made a significant personal contribution to the State Association
  • consistent attendance at meetings
  • contribution to making meetings motivating and helpful
  • hosts social occasions or organises special events

1.2      President’s Cup

  • consistent high standard and/or improved levels of communication
  • made a personal outstanding contribution to the Association over time, preferably of national significance
  • can be an organisation or an individual and need not necessarily be a ASEA member.

2. The Awards

Subject to nominations, a winner will be selected from each ASEA State Branch and a certificate awarded.  The two National winners will be awarded a perpetual trophy and a certificate of recognition.

3. Judging

Judging will be at the determination of a committee appointed at the National President’s discretion.  The committee will comprise selected members of the National Council if necessary.  State Presidents in particular will be consulted in the event of competing State nominations.
